The renovation of the historic Denver Dry Goods department store offered a unique opportunity to blend historical architectural styles with modern usability. It became a catalyst for urban growth the pedestrian 16th Street Mall in the heart of downtown Denver.

Occupying half a city block, the project consists of renovating and joining buildings built in four phases from 1889 and 1936. Each section was redesigned to accommodate multiple uses, including retail and living spaces of varying size. The redesigned storefronts have been separated so that each occupant has a separate entrance. The loft spaces on the upper floors were designed to accommodate several price ranges, and each offers a unique view of downtown Denver.
