This project strives to revitalize two aging residence halls by providing exterior re-clad and building systems upgrades with the addition of a new floor atop existing uses. The added bed base will target upperclassmen and provide the aesthetic transformation of the existing buildings to better position them within a more unified campus aesthetic. Additional program to include study rooms, seminar rooms, student lounges, and cafe services. The new building additions will provide a high performance addition. The existing wall plane will remain intact, and an anchoring will be expressed at the base through the use of materials. Not only will these addition and renovation elements create a sense of campus pride, they will also build on the "old campus" tradition with new elegant simplicity.
