Located on Michigan Avenue, this 8,250 sf office provides a temporary home for The Poetry Foundation and Poetry magazine. The office features colored polycarbonate panels as an abstract architectural interpretation of poetry. Just as the meaning of a poem evolves based on the reader's experiences, similarly the sliding panels effect the atmosphere of the work enviornment by flooding the office with a koleidoscope of warm hues. Additionally, the panels serve to frame the picturesque views of the lake and neighboring historic towers while creating a visual seperation between the expansive reading room and the adjacent open office.
