This 13,000 sf office space was designed for the Spencer Foundation, a non profit foundation that raises money for research in education. After analyzing the way that the foundation currently works, we decided to base the design on Deleuze and Guattari's philosophy of the rhizome. We designed a non-hierarchal space that fosters casual conversation and ideas exchange through the use of non-programmed deterriorialized areas that become the rhizomatic organizing structure.
